Research Summary
Citrin’s group focuses on the intersection between nanoscience, ultrafast phenomena, and nonlinear optics theory. Current areas of interest include the optical properties of metallic nanostructures, nanoplasmonics, semiconductor nanorings and quantum dots, terahertz technology, and multifunctional oxide epilayers.
Citrin is a recipient of a Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers, an award under the Office of Naval Research Young Investigator Program, and a Friedrich Bessel Award from the Alexander von Humboldt Stiftung. He serves as an Associate Editor of the IEEE Journal of Quantum Electronics.
