Kosal visits Ecuadar's National Institute of Advanced Studies

National Institute of Advanced Studies (Ecuador) (June 21, 2010) — Prof Kosal invited as visiting Professor to Ecuador’s National Institute of Advanced Studies.

Dr. Margaret E. Kosal spent much of June in the capitol of Ecuador, Quito, as a visiting professor at the Instituto de Altos Estudios Nacionales (IAEN) teaching a course in the master’s program in Security and Defense titled “Threats, Technology, & Information Society.”

In addition to teaching on the intersection of technology, security, and the information society, Kosal gave a public lecture on the role of technology in global security, and met with representatives from the ministries of defense and foreign affairs, the armed forces, and other offices.
